reddog, please explain how you have supported IV in the past in non-monetary ways. For lobbying, there is not much you can do other than support monetarily,or make trips to DC yourself.
I am sure IV core will at least consider such non-monetary support on case-by-case basis.

In suport of the view they are totally chaotic: RIR here, priority date is in April 2002, 45-day letter was received & replied to in February 2005 (15+ months ago), heard nothing from them since then. Lawyer started process for 7th year extension.

I don't think he is compromising but he is listing the potential problems that we face...and I am sure that he is living life to the fullest in his way. and I agree that because of GC ..we face some issues in travel ..in other words ..a bit of tension is always there about AP / H1 stamping etc. for e.g. if I had GC then most likely I would have gone for longer and even unpaid vacations every year ..but because of GC ...I have to be more careful (for the better I guess).

Instead of telling them what they will lose, lets tell them what they gained from us and what they would not have if it were not for the immigrants.
If two thirds of all PhD's are foreign born. And 60% of Masters degree holders are also not US citizens. Now this is the best talent that US corporations need to keep up the competative edge. No infosys wipro can fill this void.

They are working overtime for it, hopefully 24 hours as well. This is my fear even before this announcement that visa numbers be wasted again.
Maybe we can volunteer to adjudicate each of our own case...lol!

I think most of the guys n gals will be busy with their paper work for I-485, 765 and 131. I am guessing once the dust settles most of them will come back and contribute generously.
I know most of you know the magnitude of impact IV has in the decision of the reversal of July 2nd update.I am in my 8th year of H1B and I wish IV has arrived 2 to 3 years back, but I am happy better late than never.
Thank you IV and I very much appreciate you keeping the cool when people started second guessing after the AILA update that the situation is 'Fluid'.
