Still USA is going to e attractive destination unless currency goes less than 30 rupees. Still USA is Top in innovations in medical, Biomedical and core products like Apple, Microsoft etc. India and China are going to to do service oriented jobs and hardly any big innovations. That is going to continue for next few years. Also survival is easy here compared to India as population is 4 times than USA and country is 1/4 of USA. It is a mere speculation and our wish that US citizens will wait in line for Indian visa. But it is a fact that we do not need to come to USA just for money as we can get excellent pay package in many industries in India and quality of life improved a lot on par with USA. Still population growth with less land will make lack of facilities for many people in future decades. Mainly water, food,land and energy shortage will be a problem in next decades and we need to wait and see how our government handles that.
May be our kids in future will have to wait inline for Indian Residency:p

It seems that everytime you make a comment/opinion on somebody's comments, somebody will always fire back with a very nasty and inappropriate reply. I don't understand that. I thought IV is an open forum that you can exchange opinions, but it seems that everytime you make your own, people start to gang up on you if your opinion is against theirs, no matter how you phrase it properly.
They can just reply in an educated way instead of abusing or using nasty and harsh words.
But you are thinking member.

He is saying what is the truth. Do you believe that Indian universities are as good as American? If so, why do we come here?
Listen to what he says about how India is racing ahead despite all the problems with education. I was disgusted with the quotas and poor education in India.
Learn to deal with the truth whether you are Indian or American!!
ya just because u need green card, you agree with professor sahib. once u get ur green card u will also talk bad about india and indian workers.. i think gone r days when it was a cheap labor.. do u think our education systems/colleges IIT's/REC's are crap.

I, for one, am happy with this Oct visa bulletin. This is how it should be. First give GCs to all those with < 2003 PD. You guys with 2006 and 2007 pd should be glad you even got to file I-485 and EAD. What are you bitching about?.

There are several ideas that are generated in the forum. But cannot find out who is leading it. All i am saying is if we can have a listing of initiatives with some names associated. So i can contribute to the ones that i can support.
I am not sure if i am asking for too much here. I am not a IT guy. I do not know what it takes to post it in the front page.

Appreciate all the groundwork you have done so far with reference to sending out mail.
I am based out of DC Metro area and would like to initiate / participate in meeting the lawmakers about the EB3 Issue and bringing it to their attention.
We need to do something about it NOW.
I am willing to take off from work and meet with whoever concerned would make a difference.

Contributed another $100. I am not very active member on this board but I do follow it regularly and I have made contributions in the past.
Let me also take this opportunity to thank IV for putting legal EB immigration on the front page and its ability to galvanize the grass-root efforts in the momentum not seen before. I think we can only go forward from here and if we keep united, make regular contributions and fight for our justified cause, we can do wonders!
I will also exhort other non-members and members for bringing in more people to this forum and helping with contributions.

Just noticed there is an update on LUD on my previous EAD (not the current one). Not sure what that means though. Still waiting for response after sending interfiling letter.
I got an email saying that "On December 2, 2010, we ordered production of your new card" today. Me and my wife both got emails. Our wait (green in our life) for so many years came to a very happy end. My hearty wishes to all the friends who have been waiting in the queue to have best of luck.

I have applied for labor certification in Dec 2006. In may 2007 I got a denail stating that the company is not "bonafide". It is a new company and I am the 1st applicant for labor. We sent all the supporting documents and requested for review/appleal in May 2007. Since then we did not get any status from them. My attorney called them last week and made an inquiry. DOL Atlanta said that they need to do the "central check" of teh company. They do this for every new company. Does anybody aware of this "central check". How long it will take?

To those with H-1 extension issues:-
I applied for H1 extension 6 months ago and a month back changed to premium processing. I had got an RFE from regular dept and very same day made my application to premium processing. Now my application got approved without having to respond to RFE.
The RFE was employer-employee relationship and thats one bad RFE! Premium processing dept people are more experienced and better. Go premium on your H1!
Also, when on H-1 you can get promotion. there is no issue. It is called natural progression in job.
Have fun guys. In my opinion grass always looks greener on the other side. I think US is always better. Also, if you are single and EB2, you can make use of cross-chargeability to get your green card! Goodluck.

Envy, jealousy, and crab mentality will be our nemesis. If you think it's easy to get into eb1 then why waste your time? At least this category gives some incentive to progress in life. Why rock this boat?

Even if you become a manager in these companies, you wont be eligible as you had to have at least one year outside the country. So progressing not going to help. How about a person who is less qualified, less experienced getting GC in six months when you wait for 5-10 years. Its not about jealous, its about fairness and justice. Dont bring in EB2-EB3 here.
